When getting a carport, ask yourself this question. Would I want to possibly close this in and make a garage one day?
If the answer is yes, Then you must consider this.The smallest roll up door made that would likely fit many cars is an 8'x8'. Therefore if you put your carport on an 8' or 9' leg, it will allow you the option to come back later and enclose your carport to a garage. Any leg height shorter then this will render it almost impossible to add later.
